Rare immune mediated paediatric diseases in the Programme Area may have different diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. Different treatment approaches and different diagnostic tools were used by the two main paediatric hospital of the Programme Area. Thanks to CATTEDRA “CollAborazione TransfronTaliEra per Diagnosi innovative di patologie Rare in pediatriA” project, financed by the 4th call of the Programme INTERREG VA Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020, a network of hospital, research centres and SMEs was established and tackled this issue in the Programme Area by harmonising the clinical approaches and the treatment strategies of the two clinical centres as well as developing feasibility studies of new diagnostics test.
- The CONCERTO project "CrossbOrder Network for Children ReumaTolOgy" aims to improve, capitalise and disclose some of the results of the CATTEDRA project. In particular, CONCERTO intends to further develop in the programme area a jointly produced database of paediatric patients suffering from immune-mediated rare diseases
