As mandated by the European Commission, the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme conducted a series of post-2027 consultations to gather the views of stakeholders and citizens on the effectiveness and priorities of cross-border cooperation between Italy and Slovenia for the next programming period 2028-2034. The consultations, divided into two phases, involved both local stakeholders and the population of the Program area, including an innovative pilot initiative targeting Italian and Slovenian students.
The Consultations Post-2027 Report brings together the perspectives and suggestions of 75 stakeholders, 36 citizens and 297 students, touching on crucial issues such as economic competitiveness, environmental sustainability, social inclusion and cross-border mobility. This document is a key input for shaping future cooperation policies, and the European Commission will use it to guide legislative decisions in the coming years.
