The Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme envisages projects of limited financial volume, or "small-scale projects," to contribute to the achievement of Programme objectives, particularly with reference to overcoming cross-border obstacles to cooperation and building trust between citizens and institutions by working on raising awareness and promoting mutual understanding and networking.
The Programme plans to implement the "small-scale projects" through:
1. PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE ACTIONS
PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE ACTIONS are the selection of small projects (so-called people-to-people actions) under the Specific Objective ISO1(c) of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme.
"People-to-people actions" will aim to strengthen cross-border cooperation through networking and exchange of experience in areas of common interest, to build mutual trust as well as strengthen common identity by overcoming linguistic, cultural and geographical obstacles. The small projects, with financial size from €30,000 to €100,000 ERDF allocation, will have a duration of 12 months.
Small projects are scheduled to be selected in 2024.
2. SMALL PROJECT FUND - SPF
The Small Project Fund-SPF is established in accordance with Article 25 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1059. The SPF is dedicated to the initiatives within the framework of the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica-Gorizia and foresees, according to the Programme provisions, the allocation of € 6,593,576.00 of ERDF funds to the EGTC GO, as sole beneficiary. The SPF will finance, under annual calls for proposals published by the GO EGTC, small projects under the Specific Objective 4.6 of the Programme with a bottom-up approach. These small projects will aim to "strengthen the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation."
The first SPF GO! 2025 Call for Proposals no. 1/2023 was published on 23/2/2023.
