On November 27th -28th , 2024, a new edition of the ITLS courses was held at the headquarters of the Lead Partner, ASUGI, in Trieste. These courses are organized for ASUGI and other AidMIRE partners’ employees.
ITLS (International Trauma Life Support) is one of the most distinguished among globally recognized organizations developing guidelines on the management of trauma patients in out-of-hospital settings.
ITLS courses aim to provide participants with up-to-date theoretical knowledge and practical skills, to be used to assess and resolve issues related to the management of polytraumatized patients, primarily in out-of-hospital contexts.
ITLS courses are advanced training courses for healthcare professionals, and they offer lectures, hands-on practical exercises, and continuous assessments of the imparted content.
ITLS courses are internationally recognized as the "gold standard" for the out-of-hospital treatment of polytraumatized patients. They also offer the same training as the one that Slovenian partners are given in the field of out-of-hospital emergencies. This ensures a unified approach and a common language in joint intervention and rescue operations, which could be pivotal in the event of cross-border mass emergencies.
