On 5 September 2024 our IVY Erika Kosic and Luka Čavdek attended the event "La Giornata della Cooperazione Interreg 2024: la parola ai giovani per il futuro della Coesione” (Interreg Cooperation Day 2024: space for young peopole's voices about Cohesion policy) in Venice. The event was organised by IVY reporter Beatrice Tassotti and promoted by the Veneto Region's Organizational unit for cooperation and European macrostrategies and the National Contact Point for the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme.
The meeting took place within the 81st Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica di Venezia at the Veneto Region Space and gave young people the opportunity to express their opinion within the Consultation on the Future of Cohesion Policy. The speakers emphasised the importance of young people in helping the European Commission to adapt the Cohesion Policy to today's challenges. The presentation of a short video interview, conducted by IVY Beatrice Tassotti within the framework of the Post2027 consultation, and the intervention of the young people during the meeting offered the opportunity to present the opinion of three young people on the future of European Territorial Cooperation. Three Interreg projects and their impact on the territory were also presented, including the DIVA project, co-financed by the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia Programme 2014-2020.
