On Friday, November 8th, two employees of the Slovenian Istria Rescue Service, ZD Izola, attended the "Technical Rescue" seminar organized by ZD Postojna. Their participation was funded by the AidMIRE project, as the event's topics actively contribute to the project’s objectives. The participants were trained in skills and procedures that require regular updates to ensure proper treatment of the wounded in pre-hospital settings.
The introductory lessons covered the technical fundamentals of rescue, safety, equipment, and injury mechanisms, followed by workshops including simulated scenarios. The workshops, which were the main part of the training, focused on the extrication of the injured victims from various situations and using different techniques, as well as on performing resuscitation and on transport in emergency situations.
