This year, the ORA Krasa & Brkinov, together with more than 50 providers from the cross-border area of Karst, set out to explore the Slovenian side of Karst with the aim of networking and getting to know the area, which will be united in the aspiring Kras-Carso Geopark.
The meeting with the consultation "Sustainable business of providers and the impact of climate change on tourism" also brought together three examples of good practice: the Shamare' Resort and Spa, winner of the Ecolabel, the St. Daniel House (Bio Hotels) and the House of Special Variety (The Green Key).
The interesting programme also included a presentation of the advantages of sustainable business as an opportunity for development and improvement of the competitive position of the company, a presentation of the results of the report "Study of the impacts of climate change on tourism in the Karst and Brkina region," a projection of climate change and its relevance for the adaptation of tourism to the main expected impacts, and an interactive workshop on the opinion of providers on the proposed adaptation measures.
