On Friday, January 31st, and Saturday, February 1st, six registered nurses and one medical doctor from ZD Izola attended an AMLS course organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Primorska. All of them successfully completed the course.
The AMLS course focuses on implementing the AMLS Assessment Pathway to assess patients with sudden acute conditions or those in critical ones.
The course follows the guidelines of the NAEMT Association and is available in over 91 countries; it's designed for healthcare professionals involved in the management of critically ill patients. It provides participants with essential knowledge and skills required for patient assessment and decision-making in emergency situations.
Through theoretical lectures and hands-on patient management simulations based on real clinical scenarios, ZD Izola staff gained new insights and experience while reinforcing their existing competencies. Together with colleagues from other institutions, they tackled critical situations modelled on real-life cases and exchanged perspectives and expertise with both fellow participants and instructors.
Participation in the course was funded by the AidMIRE project.
