Which grapevine pests are addressed in the AI-GRAPE project?
In the AI-GRAPE project, we focus on three major pests that pose significant challenges to viticulture:
1️⃣ American grapevine leafhopper (Scaphoideus titanus)
The American grapevine leafhopper is the primary vector of flavescence dorée, a disease that can cause severe damage to vineyards.
2️⃣ European grapevine moth (Eupoecilia ambiguella)
The larvae of the European grapevine moth damage grape berries, increasing the risk of gray mold (Botrytis) infection.
3️⃣ European grape berry moth (Lobesia botrana)
The European grape berry moth is one of the most common pests that damages grape berries, leading to fungal infection issues.
Our Approach
By using artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, and smart monitoring systems, we are developing innovative solutions for sustainable pest control. Our goal is to minimize the impact of pests on vineyards, reduce pesticide use, and enhance grape production quality.
