On November 29th, in Casarsa delle Delizia at the Council Hall of the Municipal Headquarters, the first coordination meeting of the Scientific Committee was held within the project “4P Cross-border routes discovering Pier Paolo Pasolini”.
The initiative is aimed at enhancing the figure and work of one of the greatest intellectuals of the twentieth century through cultural dialogue between Italian and international territories.
During the meeting, the sixteen experts of the Scientific Committee, chosen by the Centro Studi Pasolini, the University of Nova Gorica and the Municipality of Pordenone among scholars and representatives of the cultural and academic scene, had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the audience by telling interesting notions about the Italian poet, writer, director, screenwriter, actor and playwright, considered one of the greatest Italian intellectuals of the twentieth century, also proposing important ideas for the development of the program.
In fact, over the next few months, the experts will have the task of selecting the material to be digitized and translated into Slovenian for the purposes of the initiatives within the project, including the creation of an immersive virtual space.
The aim of the initiative is to enhance Pasolini's invaluable heritage, placing emphasis on the places where he lived: the Pordenone area in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Idrija in Slovenia, rural and peri-urban areas out of traditional tourist flows.
The 4P project is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme and is supported by: Municipality of Pordenone, Centro Studi P.P Pasolini, Venetian Cluster, Občina Idrija, Idrijsko-Cerkljansko razvojna agencija d.o.o. Idrija, Univerza v Novi Gorici.
