On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, the Municipality of Miren–Kostanjevica and the Municipality of Renče–Vogrsko organized the first workshop – focus group with stakeholder representatives of the KARST ADAPT project.
In the focus group, led by the Institute of International Sociology – ISIG, participants included representatives of the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Miren–Kostanjevica and the Municipality of Renče–Vogrsko, representatives of the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Kostanjevica na Krasu, representatives of the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Renče–Vogrsko, and representatives of the municipalities. The workshop was also attended by the Mayor of Sovodnje ob Soči (an associated partner of the project) Mr. Luka Pisk and the councilor Alida Passon.
During the interactive workshop, participants first contributed to the creation of an analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, prepared an overview and analysis of existing measures in the fields of fires, floods, and hail, and proposed improvements. The result of the workshop will be a brief report with summaries for each area, which will serve to propose improvements in this field.
