Kraków, January 30th and 31st, 2025
The Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme is attending the "The European way of growth: A growth policy for a secure, resilient, and globally competitive European Union" conference, currently taking place at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre on January 30th and 31st, 2025. The event, organized under the Polish Presidency of the EU Council, brings together representatives of European institutions, cohesion and territorial development experts, academics, and stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to the Union’s growth policy.
Representing the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme are Laura Comelli, Managing Authority, and Aljoša Sosol, Head of the Joint Secretariat, who are closely following the conference discussions on key Cohesion Policy topics and its role in strengthening the EU’s security, resilience, and competitiveness.
Among the key topics addressed in the various panels there are:
Digital transition and European competitiveness, focusing on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital transformation supported by Cohesion Policy.
Economic and industrial transition, with strategies to enhance the EU’s competitiveness and sustainability.
Cohesion Policy and territorial accessibility, with a particular emphasis on mobility and transport infrastructure as tools for European integration.
Climate neutrality and growth, focusing on environmental challenges and the opportunities of green reindustrialization for European regions.
Among the conference speakers is Raffaele Fitto, Executive Vice-President for Cohesion and Reforms at the European Commission, who will also be our guest at this year's Interreg Annual Event - Interreg GO!
