At the heart of H2READY lies its ambition to:
address administrative barriers hindering the development and practical implementation of joint hydrogen-based solutions between Italy and Slovenia;
enhance the involvement of municipalities in the energy transition and support their key role as connectors between energy needs, infrastructure development, and social innovation;
generate concrete tools and solutions to facilitate cross-border cooperation on green hydrogen.
The day opened with a press conference, during which the main features of the project were presented to media representatives. The press event was a key opportunity to outline the strategic relevance of the project, the challenges identified, and the main objectives, particularly regarding sustainable local energy transition.
The partnership then discussed internal governance, the communication plan, and the first planned activities, including an analysis of the current state of the hydrogen value chain in both countries. The project team shared goals, roles, and timelines, officially launching the technical and communication work that will guide the project over the next two years.
The consortium is now focused on the launch of the first activities, including context analyses in the target areas and the development of operational methodologies for inter-municipal dialogue.
