On 25th and 26th November 2024, the Post 2027 Harvesting Event organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and co-organised by Interact took place in Brussels. The event brought together representatives of the various Interreg programmes with the aim of gathering the results of the post 2027 public consultations. The consultations aimed at reaching out to beneficiaries and citizens and asking them what they would like to see in the future of the Interreg programmes.
Aljoša Sosol Head of the Joint Secretariat and Chiara Vecchiato part of the Managing Authority staff attended the event on behalf of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme and presented the results of the consultations conducted by the Programme. Each of the participants then took part in three working groups, where each group discussed one of the ten different topics of the Post 2027 consultation. The work done during the event together with the data collected during the public consultation will be the basis for the formulation of the consultation documents. These will then be used by the European Commission to guide discussions on the future of Interreg programmes in the next programming period.
On 27 November in Brussels, Aljoša Sosol and Chiara Vecchiato took part in an event organised by the Interreg Central Europe Programme titled: Improving synergies across Interreg in Central Europe. The event focused on the importance of capitalisation of results through the research for synergies and better collaboration.
