In the framework of ECO2SMART, which is implemented as part of the cooperation Programme Interreg Italy-Slovenia, we intend to encourage greater cooperation in the design and implementation of climate change adaptation measures using ecosystem approaches. These measures enable, in addition to environmental benefits (e.g. conservation and restoration of ecosystems) also numerous social benefits (e.g. increased well-being of residents and resilience to the consequences of climate change).
We invite you to join the ECO2SMART project network, which connects project partners, stakeholders, experts and all residents of the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme Area who wish to participate in networking and discussion events for the joint design of ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change and disaster risk reduction measures in the coastal areas of the Northern Adriatic.
In the framework of the events, we will present measures recognized as good practices, discuss in depth the social and environmental benefits of these measures and encourage participants to network and find necessary and suitable solutions to solve local challenges. You will have the opportunity to network with other interested participants and experts from Slovenia and Italy. The events will be free of charge, bilingual and will take place in the Programme Area of Slovenia and Italy.
