On 5 October, the technical kick-off meeting of the Interreg Italy-Slovenia project BeBlue - Beyond BLUEGRASS was held in Venice, marking the official start of activities. The meeting was attended by representatives of all partners from Italy and Slovenia. The meeting was crucial for the partners to get to know each other and coordinate upcoming activities. The main rules of the programme were also presented.
BeBlue is committed to capitalising on the results achieved by the BLUEGRASS project, helping to spread aquaponics in the Italian-Slovenian cross-border area. Various solutions will be proposed to simplify plant management and diversify production, including particularly profitable species and plants such as salicornia and macroalgae. In addition, the project aims to develop some business plans and increase the ability to attract investments. Cross-border collaboration is essential to the success of the project, as the partnership provides complementary expertise and enables a broad information campaign.
