On 16th of August was signed WASTE DESIGN 2.0 project capitalises on the main outputs of the previous WASTE DESIGN project of the Interreg Italia – Slovenia 2014-2020 programming period.
The project aims to increase the separate waste collection rate in the programme area and raise public awareness on the importance of circular economy. This project is innovative as it includes pilot investments in new waste collection sites, where a digital system will be installed to monitor fullness levels of waste containers.
The Lead Partner is municipality of Postojna which will collaborate together with 4 project partners and two associated partners.
The project is scheduled to start on 1st October 2023.
