As part of the X-BRAIN.net project, Izola General Hospital (SB Izola) organized two events on 17 and 30 December 2024 to present the Active Room for the rehabilitation of stroke patients to the professional public.
The events were attended by representatives of the management, neurologists, physiatrists, and physiotherapists from Pula General Hospital (Croatian: Opća bolnica Pula) and the Special Hospital for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation "Martin Horvat" Rovinj (Croatian: Specijalna bolnica za ortopediju i rehabilitaciju "Martin Horvat" Rovinj-Rovigno), as well the Head of the Administrative Department for Health and Social Welfare of the Istrian Region.

At the beginning of the events, a kinesiologist from the Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) presented the advantages of stroke patient rehabilitation using innovative information and communication technologies. Neurologists from SB Izola outlined the inclusion and exclusion criteria for selecting patients participating in the X-BRAIN.net project research.
In the second part of the events, the guests visited the Active Room and, under the guidance of the ZRS Koper kinesiologist and SB Izola physiotherapists, actively tested exercises with advanced devices for the rehabilitation of stroke patients. The head of physiotherapy and physiotherapists from SB Izola also presented other physiotherapy equipment procured by SB Izola within the X-BRAIN.net project.
The events enabled representatives of all three hospitals to exchange opinions on and experiences in the treatment of stroke patients.
