Friday 4 August will see the second study visit of the POSEIDONE Project organised by the WWF Miramare Protected Marine Area, with oceanography and climatology researchers from the IV Summer School "Theory, Mechanisms and Hierarchical Modeling of Climate Dynamics", organised by ICTP/CLIVAR.
More than fifty physicists, including students and teachers, will be exploring the protected waters of the MPA by boat and seawatching to discover, thanks to the guidance of WWF experts, the great wealth of species present in mussel farms and to reflect on the role that protected marine areas, together with extensive production systems such as mussel farms, can play in combating the loss of biodiversity and the effects of climate change.
