The Primis Plus project, funded by the INTERREG Italy-Slovenia VI-A 2021-2027 European Programme, allowed the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in collaboration with the Società Filologica Friulana, to support the promotion of cultural sites across the region linked to the Friulian language and culture through a dedicated call.
In Tolmezzo, the Fondazione Museo Carnico delle Arti Popolari developed the itinerant theatrical narration “Cence Memorie”, whose script was fully adapted from Italian into Friulian. The Canal del Ferro Val Canale community organized the photographic exhibition “Il friulano si fa strada”, which illustrates sociolinguistic changes that emerged due to two key historical events: the 1939 agreements and the construction of the Val Raccolana dam and road.
In Spilimbergo, exhibitions, readings, and guided tours were held at Palazzo di Sopra, a historic building in Borgo Valbruna. Meanwhile, the municipality of Torviscosa explored the evolution of Friulian culture at the CID Museum in Piazzale Marinotti, dedicating four Sundays to the discovery of its poetry, literary traditions, and connection to the area. Promoted by the municipality of Majano, “Voci e Suoni dell’Hospitale” was a one-of-a-kind performance, blending music, storytelling, and local traditions, bringing to life the historic Hospitale di San Tomaso di Majano, dating back to 1199.
Through “Con il Museo del Duomo interattivo”, the Udine Cathedral introduced significant digital innovations like the interactive multi-touch multimedia system and the new website, both multilingual, featuring Slovenian and Friulian. With the musical theater event “Lis Vôs de Storie” organized by the Zero Limiti Social Cooperative in Raveo, a series of workshops on storytelling and music has been concluded in August 2024.
The municipality of Palmanova dedicated an anthological exhibition to Giulio Candussio, a Friulian artist and master of mosaic art, displaying 300 works, including sculptures, drawings, paintings, photographs, design pieces, and mosaics.
At Villa Dora (San Giorgio di Nogaro), the initiative “Cucant dai veris di Vile Dora” took place: in September 2024, visitors participated in theatrical guided tours uncovering the history and literary heritage of the area. Lastly, “La Vuarneriane: une biblioteche cu la anime furlane” engaged the municipality of San Daniele del Friuli in four evenings of poetry, prose, music, and performance, celebrating the Friulian language.
