We are pleased to invite you to the Climate Café entitled Ecosystem approaches and adaptations to climate change in coastal cities, organized within the framework of the ECO2SMART project. The event will take place on Tuesday 28 January 2025 starting from 4.00 pm, at the headquarters of the Science and Research Center of Koper, via Garibaldi 1, 6000 Koper, Slovenia.
The event will represent an important opportunity to promote among citizens awareness and the importance of strengthening the resilience of coastal cities to climate change through the implementation of ecosystem-based disaster risk prevention and adaptation measures.
During the meeting, experts will present the importance of adaptation measures to climate change using ecosystem approaches in coastal cities. In the second part of the workshop, meeting participants will be able to discuss local challenges, needs and opportunities for implementing these measures. Participants will also have the opportunity to establish cooperation in the implementation of climate change adaptation measures in coastal urban areas of the Northern Adriatic within the Italy-Slovenia Interreg program area.
During the presentations, participants will be asked to write down questions, challenges and topics they would like to discuss in more depth. These suggestions will then be used in roundtables, encouraging in-depth and constructive debate.
We kindly invite you to actively participate in the workshop and we are at your disposal for any further clarifications.
