On the 17th of August at 16h, we will hold an itinerant informative day in the Friulian Dolomites Park with anecdotes and truths about wolves, bears and lynxes, with Dr. Lorenzo Frangini, University of Udine. Join us!
The wolf, the bear, and the lynx are large carnivorous mammals at the top of the food pyramid, and have ecological roles of great importance for the maintenance of a healthy ecosystem. They are charismatic animals that generate great attraction, but also fear, and for years they have almost completely disappeared from our mountains. Through the walk towards the refuge we will face anecdotes and truths about these species, including their presence in the Italian and regional territory, the methods with which they are monitored, the not simple relationships with humans and much more. At the end of the path, images and videos collected by the University of Udine in the last 30 years of study on these charismatic animals will be projected.
