In this second phase of the Recreate project, several highly significant deliverables have been produced and delivered. Here is a summary of the most noteworthy:
D2.1.1 - Waste Catalogue:
This deliverable, updated and expanded from the previous version developed during the Retracking project, serves as a key tool for identifying and properly managing CFR waste. The catalogue includes photographs and detailed descriptions of various types of waste, with a particular focus on urban-origin waste. It also indicates the potential presence of toxic or hazardous components, providing specific instructions for their treatment. The catalogue is available in digital format on the project’s website.
D2.6.1 - Public Campaign Report:
This document summarizes the results of the public campaign conducted in the Municipality of Spinea to engage citizens, including adults and school students, in collecting CFR waste. The campaign involved various awareness-raising and informational activities to promote the importance of recycling and the circular economy. The report describes the campaign's different phases, the materials used, and the results achieved in terms of participation and the amount of waste collected. The report is available in digital format on the project’s website.
D3.2.1 - Protocol for the Acquisition of Circular Products by Slovenian and Italian Municipalities:
This deliverable outlines the procedures for acquiring and using CFR recycled products by municipalities and public entities. The protocol includes models compliant with Italian and Slovenian regulations, addressing various acquisition scenarios (purchases/tenders, donations, research and innovation projects). It also specifies the requirements necessary for using these products in the public sector, ensuring functionality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
D2.2.1 - List of Stakeholders Involved in the CFR Waste Cycle:
This deliverable provides an updated database of stakeholders involved in the CFR waste management cycle, initially developed in the Retracking project. The expanded list includes contacts from public and private companies interested in the circular economy of composites and thermosetting plastics, waste management companies, municipalities, manufacturing companies, authorized waste transporters, environmental certification bodies, analytical laboratories, environmental sector management entities, and customs offices within the project area.
D2.3.1 - Guidelines for Identifying, Treating, and Preparing Waste for Recycling:
These guidelines, developed by Gees Recycling, provide practical instructions on properly managing CFR waste. The manual, intended for waste management operators in the Municipality of Spinea but applicable to other stakeholders in the sector, explains how to recognize CFR components, separate them from other materials during treatment, and prepare them for recycling in compliance with the European Waste Code.
D2.5.2 - Informational Materials for Utility Operators:
This deliverable consists of a collection of informational materials and practical instructions for utility operators on how to identify, separate, and prepare CFR waste for recycling.
D3.1.1 - Catalogue of Recycled CFR Products:
This catalogue presents CFR recycled products that can be purchased by public and private entities. It includes descriptive sheets with visual representations of the products, categorized by intended use (e.g., urban furniture, children's play areas) and type of end-user (public or private). It also features proposals from students of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
The creation of these deliverables demonstrates the Recreate project’s commitment to promoting a concrete and effective circular economy model for CFR, actively engaging various stakeholders and providing practical tools for its implementation.
