On April 22nd, an educational tour was held in Ancona, focusing on the culture of the circular economy and waste treatment. On this occasion, the Recreate project was presented as an example of a virtuous chain for recycling waste materials. The visit was part of the Tipicità in Blu Festival, organized in conjunction with the Blue Economy days.
The morning began with a cultural session at the Mole Vanvitelliana, where participants were welcomed by the regional councilor of Marche and the municipal councilor of the city of Ancona. Following this, there was a visit to the Pelikan, an ecological boat dedicated to pollution control and waste collection in water bodies.
The final stops of the morning took participants first to the headquarters of AnconAmbiente and then to Viva Servizi, respectively the waste collection service for the Ancona area and surrounding territories, and the water service. A round table discussion covered the topics of industrial waste (construction, boating, and marine waste), the water cycle, and best purification practices.
In the afternoon, at the Unicorn conference hall, projects proposing the recycling of plastics, PVC, and CFR were presented, where Recreate took a prominent role. Among the speakers were the Partner Gees Recycling and the Technology Hub. At the end of the day, participants visited the Green Plasma machine, which transforms plastics recovered from the sea into energy.
This educational day offered a comprehensive overview of virtuous recycling and waste treatment practices, highlighting innovations and collaborations that make a more sustainable future possible. The Recreate project, with its innovative approach, stands as an excellent example of how waste can be transformed into resources, thus contributing to environmental protection and the promotion of the circular economy.
