The Walk of Peace and the Kobarid Museum, at the invitation of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO), presented themselves at the globally recognized ITB Berlin, the largest fair of its kind in the world. ITB Berlin, a leading name in the travel industry, is synonymous with innovation, networking, and trendsetting. Since its establishment in 1966, it has evolved into a key event for the tourism sector, where experts and decision-makers meet to establish business connections, discover new trends, and discuss current issues in tourism.
At the fair, the Walk of Peace Foundation and the Kobarid Museum presented themselves at the joint stand of the Julian Alps. However, the most significant part of their participation was the conversation organized by STO, which brought together key partners from both sides of the Walk of Peace. On the Slovenian side, the Walk of Peace Foundation and on the Italian side, PromoTurismo FVG. The discussion, conducted in German, was attended by Mrs. Sandra Battigaglia from PromoTurismo FVG and Martin Šolar, director of the Kobarid Museum, representing both the museum and the Walk of Peace Foundation. They highlighted the value of the Soča Front heritage, methods of preservation and promotion, presented visitor attractions, and discussed joint projects, including those within the framework of the European Capital of Culture GO!2025 and other Interreg programmes.
