After a series of events organised in 2024 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the discovery of the Dimnice Cave and the 110th anniversary of its tourist development, a central event will take place on Friday, 30 August, as part of the Hrpelje-Kozina Municipality Festival. A rich cultural programme will take place both in the cave and at its entrance. The event will also be enriched by local catering and a wide range of locally produced wines and beers.
PROGRAMME:
Start 18:00
- Opening greetings and speeches
- Presentation of the new Dimnice Cave leaflet and brochure
- TURN ON IRISH concert
- followed by the programme in front of the cave: MUSICKRAS closing concert of the participants
- entertainment with the young ensemble Kažin and socialising in the exceptional setting of the Smoke Cave
No entrance fee. In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled.Please confirm your attendance via the online registration form. Participants are kindly requested to be at the venue at least at 17:50, as it is necessary to descend into the Dimnice Cave.
The event is organised by ORA Krasa in Brkinov d.o.o., the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina, the Dimnice Caving Society (Jamarsko društvo Dimnice) and the Dimnice Slivje Tourist Board (Turistično društvo Slivje).
