You are invited to join us for a walk through the park and explore the diverse world of beetles. Accompanying us will be beetle specialist Andrej Kapla, who will introduce us to this diverse group of insects. Beetles are by far the largest group of insects and one of the largest groups of animals overall. We know of over 350,000 species of beetles, which represents 40% of all known insect species and 25% of all known animal species. Despite such diversity and abundance, beetles are often overlooked.

We will meet on Saturday, April 27 at 10:00 am at the Information Center of Škocjan Caves Park, Matavun 12. Following a brief welcome, our exploration will commence at 10:15 am and conclude at 12:00 pm. Participation is free. The number of places is limited, so reservations are mandatory via email at info@psj.si or by calling +386 5 708 21 04. This event is organized as part of the E-NAT2CARE project and is co-financed within the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia cross-border cooperation program.
