Saturday 21 September 2024 at 5.30 p.m. at the Bosco di San Stino di Livenza will be held the event ‘Flora and Fauna of the Forest’ dedicated to the discovery and enhancement of the lowland forest of San Stino di Livenza.
During the event, forestry technician Dr. Marco Abordi will tell us about and illustrate the results of the monitoring carried out in the forest during the first phase of the project, immersing us in the wealth of flora and fauna of this precious environment.
The programme of the ‘Flora and Fauna of the Forest’ meeting is as follows:
- 17.30 Welcome address by the Mayor of San Stino di Livenza / G. De Stefani
- 17.35 Presentation of the project / C. Gozzo
- 17.45 Flora and Fauna of the Woodland / M. Abordi
- 18.30 Aperitif
The event is also aimed at promoting the first ‘POSEIDONE RUN’, a recreational and sports march to raise awareness on the issue of biodiversity and to promote environmentally sustainable motor activities, which will take place on 6 October 2024. The march is part of the ‘Marcia dea Livenza’, now in its eighth edition, organised to raise funds to donate to the volunteer organisation La Rosa Blu of San Stino al Tagliamento. Three routes are planned, of 7, 12 and 19 km, with free start from 8.30 to 10.00 a.m.
