Venice, October 28, 2024 - An infoday dedicated to the Standard Call 03/2024 of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme was held at the Veneto Region Palace. This final event of a cycle of three meetings aimed at informing potential Italian beneficiaries of the opportunities offered by the call. After the first two meetings in Trieste and Koper, this day provided another opportunity to delve into the details of the call, which responds to the needs arising from the recent climatic events that have affected the Italy-Slovenia Programme area.
The event was opened by the moderator, Rita Bertocco, Director of the Organizational Unit for Territorial Cooperation and European Macro-Strategies of the Veneto Region, followed by the greetings of Laura Comelli, Managing Authority of the Programme, who emphasized the importance of the call in response to the prevention and resilience needs highlighted by the recent disasters.
Chiara Vecchiato, from the Managing Authority Staff, explained the Application package, intervention logic and evaluation criteria, providing participants with a detailed framework for submitting project proposals. Next, Aljoša Sosol, Coordinator of the Joint Secretariat, presented the use of the electronic system “Jems” for the submission of the Application form, thus facilitating the access of Italian institutions to the Programme digital tools.
Next, Roberto Piccini, head of the First Level Control Unit – Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, presented the Programme Manual on Eligible Expenditures, offering useful clarifications to ensure proper financial management aligned with the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme guidelines.
In addition, the capitalization pilot projects IN4SAFETY and ECO2SMART, examples of cross-border collaboration in the areas of security and sustainability, were presented by Domenico Fischetti and Giampaolo Rossi.
The concluding part of the event included a question and answer session, during which participants were able to receive additional information or clarify any doubts. The infoday met with great interest among the many participants, confirming the importance of collaboration between Italy and Slovenia for sustainable development and environmental risk prevention. The day closed with a networking opportunity between the potential proposers and the institutional representatives present.
