project addresses a common challenge in the programme area related to enhancing innovation and competitiveness in the agro-food sector through biotechnological solutions and collaboration between different actors and synergetic and complementary competences.
- The objective of project is to strengthen European competitiveness through the advancement of innovation in the agri-food sector. We intend to achieve this objective by adding value to the Italian-Slovenian agri-food chains through the transfer of biotechnological solutions activating cross-border collaboration between the public and private partnership and to create synergetic developments throughout the duration of the project and certainly beyond by setting up medium and long-term development.
- The main innovations of the project lie in the use of biotechnology to improve processes in the agri-food sector and in the methodology of activating new products and enterprises resulting in numerous benefits such as increased production efficiency, development and stimulation of local economies, as well as a trend towards greater environmental sustainability through the decrease in the use of water, soil, pesticides and energy

The project will have a direct impact on the advancement of research and innovation in the sector and its environmental sustainability, as well as the establishment of farm networks and innovative ecosystems that cross borders.
