The BioTech2Agri Project – Biotechnological Innovation for Sustainable and Competitive Agriculture, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme, is launching a Call for Expressions of Interest addressed to experts and providers of biotechnological technologies.
The call aims to create a list of experts and providers of innovative biotechnologies in the agri-food sector, with the objective of:
- Mapping and enhancing the available biotechnologies in the cross-border area;
- Fostering the creation of a biotech innovation ecosystem;
- Supporting SMEs in testing and adopting advanced technological solutions in fields such as food, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and agritech.
Target Audience
The following are eligible to express interest:
- Private entities,
- SMEs,
- Research centers,
- Universities

Reopening of the Call for Expression of Interest
The BioTech2Agri project informs that the Call for Expression of Interest has been reopened and will remain active from 20 August until 15 October 2025.
Note: This decision was taken for the following reasons:
“These measures aim to encourage the participation of innovative SMEs and biotechnology holders from Italy (Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia) and Slovenia, in order to support the integration of advanced biotech solutions into the agrifood sector.”
