In the coming days, the AGROTUR+ project will host 9 artists from Slovenia and Italy on the Karst, who will seek to capture the essence of the territory through their artistic language. The works they create will become part of the Digital Teran Museum and will also be presented in travelling exhibitions. After a four-day artistic residency on the Karst, the artists will share their first impressions and initial sketches of their works on 17 October 2025 at 10:00, during an informal gathering with project partners, local stakeholders and the media at the Botanical Garden of Sežana (Giardino Botanico di Sesana).

Selected through a public call, the 9 artists from Italy and Slovenia will create highly diverse works – ranging from intaglio printing, illustration and tapestry to installations and audiovisual productions. Their inspiration will be drawn from the Karst landscape, the Terrano wine tradition, local products, and the natural and cultural heritage they will explore during the residency. The goal is to build a cross-border creative community that does not merely observe the Karst but reinterprets it through its own artistic voice.

The Karst will speak through art – and this time in nine completely different languages. We invite you to listen.
