As part of the series of lectures organised by the University of Trieste ‘Oriented to change the world: for a sustainable future’, Prof. Moreno Zago, lecturer in Tourism Analysis and Project and local investigator of the project DATIS: Digital Frontiers for Inclusive Tourism, held three lectures on the topic of inclusive and accessible tourism.

The lessons involved over one hundred high school students from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, who were thus able to discuss the theme of disability and how tourism can be made accessible to all, regardless of physical, sensory or cognitive limitations. Furthermore, the students participated in a game-simulation aimed at finding practical solutions to improve accessibility in tourism in a society of the future.

The lessons were an opportunity to present the first results from the cross-border questionnaire developed for the DATIS project and related to the accessibility of people with disabilities in transport, overnight stays and tourist visits.
