Following art in the cross-border area: undiscovered authors between Vipava and Isonzo

You are cordially invited to a round table discussion dedicated to lesser-known artists from the cross-border area between Vipava, Savogna d'Isonzo and the wider Venetian surroundings. Painters, sculptors, poets, composers and writers who have left an important mark on this area have often remained in the shadow of more famous names – now we want to give them a voice and a space.

The round table will take place on Thursday, 25 September 2025, at 5 p.m. at the France Bevk Library (Edvard Kardelj square 4, 5000 Nova Gorica, Slovenia).

The event is part of the Interreg Italia-Slovenija BEroots project – Between Rivers and Lagoons: Artistic Routes, which connects cultural heritage with sustainable tourism and active leisure. In addition to presenting the selected artists and discussing their significance for local and cross-border cultural identity, we will also present three new thematic trails created as part of the project. These trails are intended for families, older people and children, and combine movement, experiencing nature and learning about cultural heritage through art.

The event is intended for the general public, art lovers, researchers and anyone interested in the heritage of cultural routes, networking and cooperation in a space where different traditions and stories intertwine. The entrance is free.
