On Friday, 11 September 2026, at 8:00 PM, the square in front of the Parish Church of St. Vitus in Podnanos (Slovenia) will host an evening dedicated to music, tradition and cultural heritage, featuring a concert by Klapa Semikantá.

The event is free of charge and is organised as part of the BEroots project, co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme.

Hailing from the beautiful Slovenian Istria, Klapa Semikantá is a vocal group whose harmonious voices will take the audience on a musical journey filled with emotion, tradition and cultural heritage. The name Semikantá, which in the local dialect means “I feel like singing”, perfectly reflects the spirit of the group and its passion for singing.

The concert programme will feature a rich and diverse selection of music, combining Slovenian and Istrian folk songs, well-known favourites from the Dalmatian musical tradition, and original songs by Klapa Semikantá. The varied repertoire will offer an engaging and emotional evening while celebrating and promoting the rich musical heritage of the cross-border area.

The event also represents an opportunity to discover and share the cultural traditions that connect the Slovenian and Italian territories, fostering encounters and connections between people and communities in the spirit of cross-border cooperation promoted by the BEroots project.

Join us on Friday, 11 September at 8:00 PM in the square in front of the Parish Church of St. Vitus in Podnanos.

Free admission. We look forward to welcoming you for an evening of music, tradition and unforgettable experiences!
