OPEN DAY AT THE LOKOVEC FOREST GARDEN "PERENNIALS AND COMMUNITY SUSTAINABLE WELL-BEING"

The organizer of the Lokovec Forest Garden Open Day “Perennials and Sustainable Community Well-being” is the Municipality of Nova Gorica, together with the Slovenian partners of the MEDS GARDEN+ project: the Local Community of Lokovec and the Lokovec Cultural and Tourism Association.
Open Day program:
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. PRESENTATION OF THE IMPORTANCE OF LANDSCAPE DESIGN, THE ROLE OF THE LOKOVEC SCATTERED FOREST GARDEN, and MEDS GARDEN+ INFO POINTS
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. EXPERT LECTURE "PERENNIALS – selection, cultivation, planting, sustainable plant care, edible fruits and green parts, transfer of practice to the environment."
17:00 – 19:00: PARTICIPATION OF LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS: Forest gardens are long-term developing projects. New arrangements and content are a motivation and opportunity for future community care and ensuring the sustainability of the Lokovec Scattered Forest Garden.
Bilingualism in Italian and Slovenian will be provided. The event is free of charge.
The Technical Heritage Centre (Lokovec 82) will be open between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on this day.
