On Friday 26 June 2026 at 8:45 pm, VeGAL, in collaboration with the musical association Opter Ensemble, organises the event "Pasolini: Landscapes of the Soul" at the Foyer della Magnolia of the Teatro Comunale Luigi Russolo in Portogruaro — a multidisciplinary journey through poetry, music, cinema and the spoken word.

The performance places at its centre Pasolini's Friulian poetic output, with the musical setting of the Litanie di un bel ragazzo (Litanies of a Handsome Boy), drawn from the collection La nuova gioventù (Garzanti), composed by Mario Pagotto. Three compositions — La siala, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus and Litanie — will resonate through the voices and instruments of a high-calibre ensemble: soprano Anna Maria Dell'Oste, pianists Francesca Sperandeo and Federico Lovato, narrator Luigino Mior, with the scientific coordination of musicologist Roberto Calabretto, Associate Professor at the University of Udine.

The event will offer an opportunity to gather around the values that drive the BEroots project: the promotion of cross-border artistic and cultural heritage, and the building of shared pathways through creativity and the memory of the territories. Pasolini — poet of borders, of roots, of language as identity — has proven an ideal interlocutor for a project whose beating heart is dialogue between cultures.
