You are invited to the public lecture: “Il Conte Carmella,” to be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., in Venice.
The lecture is dedicated to the opera “Il Conte Caramella,” a dramma giocoso with music by Baldassare Galuppi and a libretto by Carlo Goldoni, featuring an in-depth analysis by Artistic Director Maestro Alessandro Maurutto.
The lecture will provide a musical-critical and philological analysis of the score for “Il Conte Caramella” by Baldassare Galuppi, along with the libretto text by Carlo Goldoni. There will also be a historical and cultural overview of Galuppi’s work within the context of 18th-century Venetian production and his relationship with the influential Carlo Goldoni.
