Thanks to the Call for proposals for the creation of literary tourism itineraries in Friuli Venezia Giulia, promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region within the European project DANTE, the cultural association Lis Aganis Ecomuseo delle Dolomiti Friulane developed the cultural initiative 'Dall’Arzino al Cellina: pietre e poeti raccontano', highlighting the cultural legacy of Girolamo Ortis, Novella Cantarutti, and Giuseppe Malattia della Vallata, and promoting sustainable, community‑based tourism.
Three thematic itineraries have been created and are now accessible through the Ecointour App, offering visitors audio storytelling that brings to life the places, memories and landscapes cherished by these authors. The itineraries include the towns of:
- Navarons — where Novella Cantarutti’s voice accompanies visitors through nine narrative stops.
- Barcis — dedicated to Giuseppe Malattia della Vallata, whose story is narrated in the third person through eight thematic points.
- Vito d’Asio — a seven‑stop itinerary built around the mystery surrounding Girolamo Ortis' disappearance, guiding visitors through the cultural history of the town.
In addition, a literary walk in Vito d’Asio enriched the initiative, leading participants through the town's cultural heritage and strengthening community engagement around its literary history.
