The European Commission (DG REGIO) is launching the Border Regions Peer Exchange on Solving Border Obstacles, an initiative aimed at stakeholders involved in cross-border cooperation who are interested in learning from and replicating successful solutions implemented in other European border regions.
A total of 100 participants will be selected to take part in 10 peer exchange visits taking place between November 2026 and January 2027. The exchanges will focus on key areas of cross-border cooperation, including healthcare, public services, transport, environmental management, tourism, and governance.
Up to 50 participants will be eligible for a lump-sum contribution of up to EUR 750 to help cover travel and accommodation expenses.
The initiative is open to public authorities, Interreg project beneficiaries, universities, research institutions, European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTCs), development agencies, and other organisations engaged in cross-border cooperation.
