On 6th of May 2026, the CLIMASAFE project held the online event “What climate risks does your company face?”.
The meeting marked the launch of the project’s pilot activities, which will offer selected companies the opportunity to access an energy assessment and receive personalised recommendations on possible mitigation and adaptation measures.
Climate risks, energy and the CERI index
During the event, it was highlighted that extreme climate events, such as heatwaves, floods, intense rainfall and periods of severe cold, can increasingly affect business activities. Understanding the level of exposure and identifying potential vulnerabilities in advance can represent an important advantage in terms of resilience and competitiveness.
A central part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentation of the Climate-Energy Risk Index CERI, which combines climate hazard, energy exposure and the company’s adaptive capacity to help businesses identify critical issues and define intervention priorities.
In addition to the index, the CLIMASAFE digital platform was presented. Through the platform, company data collected via questionnaire will be combined with information on local climate risks, providing operational recommendations.
