We are pleased to present the extended digital version of the brochure dedicated to lesser-known artists who worked in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia, including, among others, Alojz Repnič, Franjo Rojec, and Baldassarre Galuppi.
In this area, where cultures, languages, and histories meet, a unique artistic expression emerges—often hidden from the wider public, yet rich in content, authenticity, and local stories. The brochure is the result of the collaborative work of all partners involved in the BEroots project, co-funded by the European Union under the program Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027, which aims to highlight these creators and give them wider recognition.
Through these pages, you will discover artists whose creativity tells stories of places, people, and time. Their works reflect personal dedication, local identity, and often a careful preservation of cultural heritage in the contemporary world.
The BEroots project encourages us to view tourism and culture not only as individual experiences but as spaces for meeting, collaboration, and co-creation of a shared future. Art has the power to unite, and BEroots ensures these connections become lasting and visible.
