The workshop “Small Projects, Big Impact: Putting Citizens at the Heart of Cross-Border Cooperation”, proposed by EGTC GO in collaboration with EGTC ViaCarpatia (HU-SK) and EGTC Euregio Meuse-Rhine (DE-NL-BE), has been included in the 2025 edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities and will take place on Wednesday, October 15th, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in Brussels.
Drawing on their experiences, the director of EGTC GO Romina Kocina, the director of EGTC ViaCarpatia Julianna Mate, and the director of EGTC Euregio Meuse-Rhine Michael Dejozé will present the benefits of establishing a Small Projects Fund (SPF) to foster cross-border cooperation, thereby broadening the potential pool of actors involved in territorial cooperation projects. During the meeting, particular attention will be devoted to the choice of entrusting the management of SPFs to European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation, due to their knowledge of and proximity to the territory and potential beneficiaries. The session will also provide an opportunity for the speakers to exchange best practices and advice based on their daily experience.
