On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the first of ten general training sessions on digital accessibility took place in the Grand Hall of the Municipality of Nova Gorica. The sessions are being conducted as part of the DigARegion project. The event was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of accessible digital content and presenting the key standards and guidelines in this field.
Experts from the Institute for Digital Accessibility A11y.si, Andreja Bevc and Tilen Škraba, introduced participants to the importance of digital accessibility as well as the fundamental principles and requirements of the WCAG standard. They placed special emphasis on the most common errors found on websites and in digital documents and presented concrete examples of good practices.
Participants were also introduced to the support point established within the DigARegion project, which is available to the general public for questions related to website accessibility. The support point operates via the email address .
The implementation of the first event marks the beginning of a series of training sessions that will take place at various locations across Slovenia until the end of March. The current dates are published on the website www.dostopnovsem.org under the “Events” section.
The basic training sessions will be followed by expert and advanced expert trainings intended for website platform administrators and professionals involved in the development of digital solutions.
