A little more than a month after the start of the WalkofPeace+ project, the partners met on November 7th, at the municipality of Komen to set up the main activities that will last for the entire period of the project.
In the foreground, on the agenda, the cross-border museum of Mount Ermada/Grmada, a great protagonist in this phase precisely because of the importance of its nature and position, capable of making it emblematic of what is the spirit of this INTERREG project centered on sociality, unity of peoples and cooperation as a necessary condition for a solid and lasting peace. A permanent table will be opened in which institutions, historians, tourism experts and guides will discuss to identify the best routes to be included inside the open-air museum.
To this end, the first ideas for the promotion of the Walk of Peace in the area were also put on the table. The planning of the first events has begun, which should be held at the beginning of spring 2024 and the reprinting of the guide, enriched by an English version intended with a view to opening up not only cross-border but international tourism on a broad spectrum.
The next meeting is scheduled for early February 2024 in Kobarid, where it was also agreed to sign the first Memorandum of Understanding linked to the project.
