Koper, 3 March 2026 – The fourth meeting of the DANTE project partnership, co‑funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme, took place at the Grand Hotel Koper. The project aims to establish a cross-border DANTE literary trail, based on five interactive interpretive cultural routes using the storytelling method, which will together form a whole. All project partners attended the meeting, jointly developing innovative approaches for the creation of a cross‑border literary route inspired by the poet Dante Alighieri.
The meeting offered an opportunity for a comprehensive review of the progress made so far—from financial implementation and the analysis of completed outputs to an assessment of key project results from the current reporting period. The partners presented the implemented activities, discussing challenges, good practices, and plans for the effective implementation of project deliverables. The participants were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Darko Darovec, Director of the IRRIS Institute, who emphasized that the DANTE project is not merely a cultural or tourism initiative, but also an important example of cross‑border cooperation that strengthens regional connections and promotes the safeguarding of shared European heritage.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong commitment of all partners to developing an innovative, sustainable, and intercultural literary route that will, in the long term, contribute to enhancing the tourism offer of the area and to expanding knowledge about Dante and his influence within the cross‑border region. The next partnership meeting is expected to take place in June 2026 in Tolmezzo, where the partners will continue coordinating the final steps of the project and prepare key activities for its successful completion.
