On Wednesday, 26 November 2025, the second meeting of the H2O SMARTNET project partners took place at the headquarters of Acquedotto Poiana in Cividale del Friuli. The project is implemented under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme.
The project partners reviewed the project’s financial and implementation progress and presented the activities carried out by the individual partner organisations. Particular attention was devoted to project management, communication activities and the coordination of the next steps.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange information and experience and to jointly plan upcoming activities related to the digitalisation of water supply systems, the monitoring of their operation and the early detection of water losses.
The H2O SMARTNET project develops and tests innovative technological solutions for the more efficient and sustainable management of water resources in the cross-border area of Italy and Slovenia. Strengthening cooperation among water utility operators, public institutions and local communities is also an important part of the project.
The H2O SMARTNET project is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme.
