On Tuesday, 25 August, at the Municipality of Ajdovščina, a presentation and the first practical testing of a tool developed as part of the toolkit under Activity 2.3 of the H2READY project took place. The tool is designed to support municipalities in preparing Action Plans for the adoption of green hydrogen-based solutions.
The tool tested is intended to collect data and information needed for the development of the Action Plan. The aim of the meeting was to assess its practical usability and gather feedback and suggestions from local stakeholders, which will contribute to the further development of the toolkit and its adaptation to local needs and circumstances.
In cooperation with project partner META Circularity, the Municipality of Ajdovščina invited external local stakeholders, including company representatives, professionals and experts working in the fields of energy and hydrogen technologies. Their involvement provided concrete feedback on the tool’s content, functionality and practical usability.
During the introductory session, project partner Energy Agency of Friuli Venezia Giulia presented the tool, explained how it works and outlined its role in collecting the data needed to prepare the Action Plans. The presentation was followed by a practical test and a discussion in which participants shared their experiences, comments and suggestions for improvement.
The discussion also addressed the broader development and deployment of hydrogen technologies, with particular attention to their technological and market readiness and to the main challenges associated with introducing hydrogen solutions at local level. Participants highlighted several key factors for future investments, including technical feasibility, available infrastructure, local needs, economic viability and cooperation between the public sector, businesses and relevant institutions.
The meeting also provided an important opportunity for local stakeholders to exchange knowledge and experiences. The feedback and suggestions collected will contribute to the further development of the Activity 2.3 toolkit and help adapt it to the needs of local communities and key stakeholders.
