On Friday, May 22, 2026, the “Gravisi” Italian Multimedia Centre officially opened its doors. This modern, highly interconnected and interactive space was created to showcase the history and identity of the Italian National Community in Istria through historical testimonies, immersive journeys and cutting-edge multimedia installations.
To welcome and engage a growing and diverse audience, all content is available in four languages: Italian, Slovenian, Croatian and English. This makes the centre a true crossroads for historical memory, technological innovation and intercultural dialogue.
Several key officials and dignitaries attended the opening ceremony, including Laura Comelli, Managing Authority of the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme.
