The Soča Valley Development Centre and the The Walk of Peace in the Soča Region Foundation cordially invite you to the "Peace Concert", which will take place at the event space in Kobarid on Thursday 8 August 2024.
The first part, starting at 20:00, will be a conversation with Dušan Jelinčič, writer, editor and mountaineer, moderated by Katja Canalaz, journalist of the Novi Matajur newspaper. The topic of the talk will be the importance of the WALK of PEACE and culture for the integration of cross-border space and coexistence. The guest will also present his view on what is happening in Europe today and how the cross-border experience of the WALK of PEACE can be an example of good practice on how to move beyond historical tragic events and successfully build bridging between peoples, cultures and the European space.
The talk will be followed by a concert by Hamo & Tribute 2 Love.
Peace Concert is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the activities of the WALKofPEACE+ project, Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme and with the support of the Municipality of Kobarid.
